Welcome Letter from our Director
Riding a Harley-Davidson is a solitary experience. The steady rumble of a V-twin and the beauty of America’s landscape blurring past you. You become acutely aware of your own state of being and you want to share that awareness with others who will understand. That is why H.O.G. was created.
The Bond is Metal
The destination could be anywhere: a Blackstone Valley members meeting, a weekly chapter
ride or a H.O.G. event - destination known or unknown. The sounds of our arrival
being heard from a mile away followed by the lines of headlights on the road.
The same thing happens whether it’s one or a hundred of us. The feeling
of being out there on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle links us like no other
experience can. It has made H.O.G. like no other organization in the world.
If you’re about to arrive at your first Blackstone Valley Chapter meeting,
you’ll notice it right off. The atmosphere is more like family than
an organized meeting. The fun all around you is as genuine as Milwaukee steel.
There is nothing sealed in or climate controlled about our chapter. There
are miles waiting to be discovered. You’re welcome to ride along.
No Meeting Hall In The World Can Hold Us
Wherever and whenever Blackstone Valley members gather, whether it is their
own chapter ride or event or another H.O.G. chapter event, the possibilities
are open wide. Looking for an excuse to ride? Our wheels never stop turning.
Maybe it’s one of our Regional Rallies. Maybe it’s our chapter
heading out for dinner in the next town, or events for other chapters. Along
the way, the Blackstone Valley Chapter helps out some very worthy causes.
We sponsor a 'Christmas is For Kids' Toy Run in the fall, and a run to
benefit two local community hospitals in the summer, just to name two.
Sit Down And Be Counted
There’s a good reason why so many of us believe living life from the
seat of a Harley is the only way to go. After all, riding is something we
never get enough of, and that’s where becoming a Blackstone Valley member
comes in. Besides the H.O.G. pin and patch, your membership card is your key
to receive many additional benefits that no one other than H.O.G. members
receive. No matter how far the road goes, there’s one thing that matters
to the members of Blackstone Valley: “To Ride and Have Fun.”
About Blackstone Valley H.O.G. Chapter
The Blackstone Valley H.O.G. chapter is one of over 1400 chapters, worldwide.
The Harley Owners Group is the world’s largest factory-sponsored motorcycle
organization, with more than 900,000 members around the globe. Precision Harley-Davidson,
in Pawtucket, R.I., sponsors our chapter. We are made up of two hundred
plus members and growing. Come join us for a ride and see for yourself what
Blackstone Valley is all about. Visit our web site for up to date events or
call our informational “Swine Line”. Most of our rides leave from
Man Mar Plaza, in Plainville, Rte 152 on the Plainville/North Attleboro line.
We ride every weekend for as long as the weather holds.
Our chapter meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30PM at the North Attleboro Elk’s Lodge, Bulfinch Street, North Attleboro. All Harley owners are welcome to join. To become a Blackstone member, you will need to present your National H.O.G. card (you received a free one-year membership with the purchase of your new Harley) and complete a Chapter application. The fee is $20.00 annually. It’s as easy as that!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any officer in the club. Our phone numbers are listed on our web site and we’re always happy to hear from fellow enthusiasts. You can also leave a message on the “Swine Line” and we’ll get back to you.
Hope to be riding with you soon.
